87. Staircase

One, two…ninety-nine….one hundred.

Perhaps there was a valid reason people thought astronomy professors were a little loony. One had to be almost crazy taking a job that required one to travel up and down the hundreds of stairs everyday just to go to breakfast or spend time with the rest of the castle’s inhabitants.

Aurora’s first day as staff it had been rough. Still quite young, the woman was fit and able. Yet still she didn’t remember it being this rough as a student.

“If only apparition was available to staff…” she mused sighing as she climbed her daily route.
