Emrys' glasses began slipping down his nose and he pushed them back up while coming to a stop next to Vindictus.

Vindictus squinted.
"It is! We need to get closer," he chatted excitedly and was unaware that his grip on the orb was beginning to loosen. His limp was more pronounced as he tried to speed up. But instead of looking at where he was walking, Vindictus kept his gaze on what he thought were leaping toadstools. Hidden by the grass were a few large roots from a nearby tree.
THUNK!
It all happened so fast. One second he was walking with the aid of his cane and the next, he was face-first in the grass. The orb flew out of his left hand and was seen bouncing through the patch of leaping toadstools.
"Not again! Get it!"
