Jory gave Gwen a smile. maybe she would really give changing a try. He turned his attention back to the Pond. The ducks seemed to be having the time of their lives with so many students throwing things for them to eat.
Gwen didn't answer his question but he let it drop. "Any special plans for the summer holidays?'' Jory asked. He'd miss Hogwarts but he couldn't help looking forward to the holidays. He doubt his family would be going on vacation this year. His Dad had to do more training sessions with rookie detectives.
Just then, Gwen said something that made Jory turn his head so fast to look at her, his neck hurt a bit. He just stared at her, trying to decide if she was joking or if he'd heard right. She seemed quite serious. "Thank you, Gwen,'' he said still uncertain he'd heard right.
So she left one tiny question unanswered. And she felt a bit sorry that she had done so. That was a first in her case. Heh. Anyhow, the third year drew her attention back towards Jory.
‘I’m not so sure yet. I’m planning of going to Egypt’ That was sure. ‘And… I don’t know. I’d like to meet my friends over the summer. As another term starts, I feel like there’s a lot of catching up’ It always was like that. Even with Ari. And Merlin’s beard they were almost always handing out together.
‘You?’, the girl finally asked. It he won’t seem too busy, she’d try suggesting they’d meet.
‘What?’, she asked slightly puzzled. Did she say something- oh right. The friends comment.
‘Yesyes. I’m not mocking you. Not this time’, she gave a smirk. Though...It had been kind of funny seeing him turn around that fast… and his facial expression at the moment was simply priceless. Gwen seriously tried a bit to hold back her laughter. But yes. Anyway. She was serious.
