But as she began to speak, he realized it was much, MUCH worse. She didn't want a smooch. She wanted a speech. Cue even redder cheeks.

It was one thing to give a short pep talk to his team, and ONLY his team. It was entirely different to address half of his House.

Minerva looked up when she heard the Captains voice. She didn't know whether to talk with him or not. He had to be mad that he put her on the team and then she just disappeared. She clapped with everyone else and gave her best smile. "Great game Captain"
A small voice momentarily distracted him from his plight. "
Thanks, Min. I'm glad you got to see it!" Cuz she had been home, right? "
Hey, look. I want you to try out again next term now that stuff has settled down a bit. I think you could be a real asset to the team." And he wasn't just saying that.
