And... then she started praising him. He really should have been prepared for this. But now... he didn't even know what to say! So he grinned sheepishly at his fellow first year. "Thanks Ella!" he said, "Erm... really? I'm a hero? But... I don't have any superpowers!" Unless they were hidden and he didn't know about them.
"You can be even better, you know," he said, nodding at her. It was true. He didn't know he could even catch a Snitch until he came to Hogwarts and tried out. Wait, did Ella say she was going to try out? "So you're trying out for the team next term?" Grin, grin, GRIN! SPOILER!!: Minerva! Quote:

And he had gotten her name right! "Nice to meet you then," Alec said, "Erm, I'm Alec, Alec Summers." Yay for meeting someone new! "You were? Erm, thanks! We have a great team," he said, nodding, "How come you didn't play today?" Unless he was mistaking her for someone else...
