"Erm..." he started, "I'm just scared about Quidditch." Namely, the Championships. And he was up against that older girl again! "And Anya's in hospital," he mumbled afterwards. Would Avery even care about all this?
He couldn't help but grin at the girl. Avery really knew how to cheer someone up. "That's great!" he said, "So this explains why you disappeared? You were studying too much?
Avery looked down at the boys who's knee she was still sat on. Alec looks quite confused and he was looking at her inquisitively. His eyes were also edge with worry.
"I'm sure you will be great in the Quidditch match! I know you will!" She said smiling at the younger boy, then she her smile faded and she hugged him tightly, and surprising even for her a tear rolled down her cheek. Maybe the word hospital affected her like that, it brought back the horrible two years she had spent in pain in the hospital.
"I'm sorry about Anya, are you close to her?" Avery didn't know Anya, but she was worried for Alec he did seem really worried about her. Avery hugged Alec tight again as another tear fell down her cheek.
She she said, still shock at the news of Anya.
"That's where I disappeared to."
