19. Wand

CRASH!

Aurora winched as the shopkeeper ducked out of the line of fire just in time, the shelf behind him causing a ruckus as it dropped boxes to the floor. “Sorry…” she apologized as the man accepted back the failed wand.

“Tis alright. It obviously doesn’t choose you,” Olivander remarked assuring his newest young customer. “Try this one my dear,” he instructed, handing her another….her fourth and stepping back to await a reaction.

The incoming student took it and gave it a requisite swish, the wand reacting favorable this time causing relief all around.

“Ah….yes. Hickory with Pegasus wing feather.”
