That was mildly frightening. Did that mean that there was the potential for her classmates to start...snogging with one another during the course of this activity? EEK.

Pocketing her wand for now Kurumi scampered over to the table to drop off her object. As she returned to her table, Kurumi kept her eye on her niffler. She had to...break the spell? Well, that seemed only natural and expected, so Kurumi removed her wand again. "Finite Incantatem." Kurumi knew the spell had worked because the niffler was back to glaring and growling at her instantly. Great.

Clearly finding the table of goodies more interesting than her, the niffler jumped off the table and made a run for it. It had been nice while it lasted. Wand down on the table for now, Kurumi practiced the incantation a few times until she felt comfortable enough to maybe perform the spell properly. Just as long as the smoke was purple, right? Wand pointing to herself now, she Gryffindor took a deep breath. "Coh-LEE-wee-meh Nn-BEE-my-low," she murmured. Thankfully, the smoke was purple in hue, so that was at least a positive. She waited for some sort of effect to to...well...happen. Only she didn't feel any different. Was that right? Did that mean the spell hadn't worked? Only one way to find out, right?

Rising now, Kurumi walked to an open area of the classroom and sat down on the floor to wait. She figured that as long as she made herself smaller that even if her spellwork hadn't been the most potent, it should help. Animals responded better when you were not towering over them. So, Kurumi sat very still and waited. It didn't take too long, only about a minute or so before she saw some movement coming from her left. Slowly turning her head, Kurumi's breath caught in her through as a oogly eyed niffler made its way over to her. Oogly eyes...with mild sparkles in its eyes come to think of it.

Sitting very still, Kurumi waited as it continued to waddle closer to her.
