When he looked away, Alysson didn't drop her gaze for just a second longer before averting it down to the rest of her apple she'd placed in the grass next to the blanket. To give her something to do, she lay back down on her stomach, propped herself up on her elbows and reached for the apple.
Twirling the stem around and around absently until it came off, she had already started thinking of ways to change the topic since he obviously felt somewhat uncomfortable talking about this. But then he did finally reply. Not a very conclusive answer but he had at least said something.
She glanced back over at him with a small smile. "Oh. But sometimes you just have to...you know, go for it. Or else you'll never know what could've happened. Sometimes there's just no time or well way to think things through first." And with that her gaze was back on the apple stem in her hands. "That's what I think anyway."
