Okay, so the first attempt had done nothing to calm Amelia's nerves. Now the niffler was even more annoyed and louder than ever with its growls. D: She was scared that it would try coming at her again, but it looked like as long as she wasn't too close for comfort everything might be okay.
Another pep talk was needed. She told things to herself to help make everything better because confidence was needed. That and focus. Focus was definitely important and hard to come by with a creature growling at you. :/
"Here goes nothing..." Raising her wand again, Amelia repeated the circular movement and flick while saying, "Malin Calin!"
This time the smoke that engulfed the niffler was purple. She had succeeded! And it was definitely apparent in the way that the niffler stopped growling at her. Ooooh!! It was time to attempt petting it.
Cautiously Amelia stepped closer to it while timidly reaching her hand out towards it. "What a good niffler you are." And no snapping at her or nasty sounds came her way, so she slowly started petting the niffler. "That's not so bad then." :3 |
