Simon had never given much thought to the creatures pulling the Hogwarts’ carriages. Sure he had known they were there because of his reading, but the somewhat scary looking almost-horses had been invisible to him.
That had been until he visited the school as an adult, teaching a class on defense as a guest professor. That had been a surprise, when suddenly he saw the thestrals who had always been there.
