Amelia nodded as Poppy explained how Cheering Charms could be for people who were depressed. So now she knew that she couldn't ask Zayden or Ellie to cast one on her in order to cure the depression she had been feeling lately. She sighed now as she listened to further explanation of things. She took notes and looked at the sheet of paper that was being handed out to them.
She was interrupted in her thoughts, however, as the Care of Magical Creatures Professor had decided to pop into the classroom with some Nifflers. She knew that this was related somehow to the practical part, so it was clear to her that they would probably have to cast some charm on it.
Poppy's instructions made it clear and she was right in her supposition. She made a note of the spell that they had to work with as well as the specific instructions since she didn't want to mess this up and have to deal with an annoyed Niffler.
Taking her wand out now, Amelia put it on her desk. She wanted to try practicing the spell without it until she had the hang of things. She closed her eyes and started reciting it to herself: "Malin Calin... Malin Calin... MAH-lin CAH-lin... MAH-lin CAH-lin." |
