He laughed. "It is. Like I said, I've pretty much kept to places that people don't go. This seems like it must be a pretty popular place." He took a minute to look around, turning slowly as she moved away from him.
Thinking about her question, he scratched his chin. "Close enough to see the ducks clearly and enjoy the scene, but far enough that if they decide to come and steal our food, we have enough time to react." He walked to the pond's edge and turned, backtracking a few paces. After a moment's pause, he set the basket down and opened the lid, grabbing a blanket from the top layer.
"Here seems good, don't you think?" Emrys spread out the blanket and set the basket on its edge. "Great view, safe distance," he added, gesturing awkwardly to both the blanket and the surroundings.
Viola wandered in a couple of meters radius around the two, looking for any potential flying creatures to grab and play with. Or eat. Louisa watched Emrys measure the distance and nodded at the spot as soon as he put down the basket. "
Perfect." She walked over to him and took her bag off her shoulder, placing it near the basket. They could eat the candy in the end of their picnic, after the food he brought.
Careful not to step with her shoes on his blanket, she sat down and stretched her legs to the ground. "
So did you tell your mom about the quidditch match yesterday?" Louisa grinned at him. See? She remembered their conversation word by word, usually she wouldn't really pay attention to people's casual dialogue but that was with students with lower IQ.
