He had thought about letting his duck live at the pond buuut...what if he got lost and then he would never see the poor thing again! He would never let that happen.
Just as they were about three feet away from the other ducks Hailey started freaking out because Milton wasn't in water. He continued walking though, even after she stopped. "I don't see how not walking is going to help Milton . The longer we take to get to the water the less of a chance he haaaas," Hunter said in a sing-song tone. The duck was fine, in all honesty. He wasn't sure who in the world told this girl ducks couldn't live out of water but he knew enough to know that Milton was doing just fine.
"Who in the world taught you anything about ducks? AND he is my duck, not the schools!"
Hailey couldn't see how he was still walking--his duck was going to die any minute now! The poor thing had such a short life...
And then Hunter mentioned how not walking wasn't going to help. Well.
"It doesn't matter who taught me, what matters is that YOU don't know anything about ducks!" And with that, Hailey ran up to meet him and then snatched Milton from Hunter's hands.
And then threw the duck in the pond. "LIVE, MILTON, LIIIIVE!"
