Gwen said genetics. "Did that mean her parents are or were also like that?'' Jory briefly wondered if there was anything he could do to help Gwen open up...
Seriously. Jory looked at her totally weird. For a moment, Gwen thought she had something on her face, but then realized this was how
NORMAL people were able to keep a straight face. Because see, she couldn’t.
‘Y-Yes?’, she shrugged, preparing for a little speech about genetics.
‘It HAS a lot to do about this. Because- -‘, she started saying as she tried to keep a straight face as well.
‘Genes can either be recessive or dominant… and it depends very much on what not only one’s parents… but ancestors have’ This was complex stuff. And then there are the odds… which ones were passed.
‘Genes hold information about… everything. Information for all the cells’ Pause. Take a deep breath.
‘And through these, genetic traits are passed to offspring’ She should stop reading that much about this topic.
Perhaps it was enough. Anyhow, Gwen started feeling that Jory tried to change her… or make her change… into a Hufflepuff. Oh, let’s face it- she couldn’t bare not making fun of anyone.
‘I am trusting people’ Not showing that she did so was another thing.
‘But… you can’t be nice to everyone’, she said with a nervous laughter.
It would be IMPOSSSSIBLE! To snap back with another argument or not? This is the question… Actually-you know what- ‘Maybe some people are nice, but simply don’t show it’ Dramatic pause. ‘Err… if that makes any sense’, she laughed as she shook her head.
