She giggled again as he stumbled over words AGAIN. "Entrancing Enchantments?" She raised an eyebrow. It was a bit of a tongue twister, she supposed.
Ah an intro. "That's an interesting name." Emrys. "I'm Ellie." And Ellie didn't shake hands so...she just wiggled her fingers at him instead.
Terminally uncool. That was exactly what he was destined to be as he heard her giggling at him. Kiss of death, that.
Dropping his hand, he wiped it on his robe. Sweaty. At least she thought his name was interesting. Perhaps he'd gotten past the point where people tried to shorten it or rhyme it embarrassingly.
"It's Welsh," he mumbled.
"Means 'immortal.' It was my great-grandfather's name."
He pushed the book off the table, recognizing that he wasn't going to get to read it discreetly, and bent to put it in his bag. As he straightened up, he hit his head on the edge of the table.
Crack.
Maybe he could just hide under it for the rest of the lesson.
