August had put his Ancient Runes homework assignment off long enough. The due date was fastly approaching and he needed to get it done and turned in to Professor Jenkins in order to get the points for Gryffindor House. So because he had some free time before he was going to head down to the Great Hall for dinner, Auggie pulled out a peice of the wood from the lesson and the scraper tool he had borrowed and got to work.

His mind concentrated on the Professor he was creating the rune for and also on the name of the rune.

'Ansuz.'

One sharp scrap made the vertical line of the rune and then two shorter diagonal scrapes followed. August blew the wood shavings into the floor and then rubbed his finger over his finished rune. Looked good!
