Gideon knew he needed to get the transfiguration homework done since the due date was fast approaching. It wasn't necessarily the failure of the skill that was needed, the fifth year had gotten that down in class with the metal vase he had made that currently resided in his trunk up in the dorms. But it was more him making sure he managed to get everything accomplished and share it with others as they were to set the finished projects randomly around the castle.

First things first he should probably get the vases done though he supposed he could have worked as he went from one step to the next as well.Taking out a thimble from his stash, he set it attop his trunk for a flat surface to work off of. Then with his wand out, Gideon paused, running the spell he was to work on over and over in his head as his hand moved in the movement they had been taught.

Floreneo...Floreneo...Floreneo...Floreneo...Floren eo...Floreneo...Floreneo...Floreneo

When he was satisfied that he remembered the incantation and its correct pronunciation, he decided to put it all to together and get to work in earnest. A random image of a vase to try flittering into his mind. "Floreneo!" he cast, aiming at the thimble and twisting his wand clockwise and up. Soon the small metal object was replaced by a lopsided larger metal item not quite like he imagined. Deciding to try again, Gideon cast a quiet "reverto," and watched it return to its original form.

Taking a deep breath, the Gryffindor tried again. "Floreneo!" he cast repeating the incantation and wand movement from just minutes before, once more trying to imagine a nice vase to use for the assignment. This time it appeared to work, the thimble replaced by a nice aged rustic metal vase...no greenish ceramic he discovered picking it up for closer inpection. Certainly a keeper. Deciding in the end to work on one arrangement at a time before moving on, Gideon slipped his wand back in his pocket and got up from his seat on the bed, moving to head out to find the flowers for the next part.
