Being germinated with them was a scary thought. "Some develop more quickly than others, the Bloody-Red Rose develops reasonably quickly, though the teeth remain fairly sensitive until the reach adolescence."
Holding Xavier firmly but with great care, Seren waited as Kurumi attempted to remove the pot. No such luck it seemed. Poor Xavier, his roots must be so uncomfortable.
Relaxing her grip slightly as Kurumi loosened the soil around the edge of the pot once more, she allowed her gloved fingers to run gently along a few of Xavier's leaves. "That's it, give it a good tug," she encouraged as Kurumi gave it another shot.
Kurumi continued to pull and tug on the pot as Professor Bentley spoke. "
Does that mean that there are...plant pacifiers?" Or chew toys? Great, thanks Professor Bentley. Now you had your prefect thinking about plants like babies or pets. Not that Kurumi thought poorly of plants. She did enjoy Herbology and it was one of her favorite subjects after Care of Magical Creatures and Transgifuration, but it was still sort of odd to think of them in that light. Just ignore how quickly she had taken to calling her metal egg by name and thinking it was actually a living thing last term. "
Or does the gnawing on raw meet accomplish that?"
More little tidbits for her to write down and remember...once she removed this bloody pot that is.
Upon hearing Professor Bentley's instructions to 'give it a good tug,' Kurumi took a deep breath and flexed her arm muscles. 1...2...3! She pulled down hard and toppled over backwards as the pot came free. She SHOULD have been embarrassed about this, but she was more relieved that she had been able to remove the pot. How many Gryffindors did it take to replant a Bloody Rose? She was sure there was some sort of punch line waiting to be written for that one.
