"You're not the only one the article's about, remember." He wasn't stomping around Hogwarts like Aparezilla though, was he. "And besides, that's not the first issue of the gossip rag. I only found out about it because Edvard came to my office with a story about him in a love triangle with Josephina Hadley and Althea Schirmer."
And if that wasn't the biggest load of crock.... well he'd eat his shoe.
He remained quiet at her last question and slowly pulled his hands out of his pockets, raising them in an 'I surrender' gesture. "Clearly you don't want to see me now, Cece, so just say the word and I'll leave."
Cece turned to GLARE at William and his little comments.
"Well excuse me for thinking you were my friend." She should have known better than to ever think he would consider her a true friend.
"You just don't get it do you. I already told you it wasn't the article itself that was the issue here. It's the fact that... You know what, just forget it." What was the point in her repeating herself? He obviously wasn't listening to a word she was saying here.
"I get it, Oliver's your friend and I'm just... the one who hangs all over you. I'm sure you two had a good laugh reading that bit about me having 'eyes' for him too didn't you." She knew Oliver did anyway. He made sure to rub that in her face.
"I don't want you to leave William." She had a feeling if he walked out that door then whatever friendship they had really was going to be over.
"I just... I want you to understand how I feel here." She was pretty sure that was too much to ask for though.
