Jez shrugged. "Dunno. But unicorns are mammals, if you haven't noticed. You can get unicorn milk. So I highly doubt they lay eggs." She looked at the orb hopefully. "It would be pretty amazing if it did hatch into something, though. I found it by the pathways, a squirrel was trying to eat it. Nate thinks it might have come from the Forbidden Forest. He's a Hufflepuff first-year," she added quickly, to avoid name confusion. "He thinks that's what's been driving all those magical creatures out of the Forest. I'm not sure, though. I mean, it's a small ball. Sure it glows, but it's not really enough to damage you. It's warm, though, don't you think?" Really really wanted to see what it was!
