He actually didn't know all that much about Kurumi. Huh.
Hang on. Had she just. "You came because I asked you to?" Lewis just stared at her for a moment, trying to comprehend what she'd just said. Seriously? That was the moment however he noticed somebody walking out onto the pitch out of the corner of his eyes. Turning around fully to be able to look back down, he realized it was...Vindictus. "Oh, I...think I gotta go." Like NOW!
Whirling around so swiftly he almost collided with Kurumi next to him, Lewis blushed and took a step back. "Sorry. Uhm. Thank you again. For coming. And these." Mostly for coming though. "And yes, bye, I'll see you later...?" Okay, his voice had sounded VERY hopeful there. Erm, awkward. "Right. Bye." And with that he just ran off, hoping she wouldn't see him blushing. Again.
So, that had confirmed it. Lewis didn't know that she baked. It was actually sort of refreshing to hear that. The nickname of Cookie Girl was one that was being thrown around so much recently that it seemed to be one of the only things associated with her. Well, that and house elves...Not the point. Not saying anything in return, Kurumi nodded her head as the smile on her lips widened a bit more.
"
Always the tone of surprise," she laughed, shaking her head and causing her long black hair to ripple over her shoulders. Had she said something weird again? He was getting that look on his face and furrowing his brow in such a manner that seemed to be implying that she had. Before she could say anything more, Lewis seemed to also have noticed Professor Vindictus taking to the pitch.
Kurumi reached her arms out when he nearly toppled over or, erm, collided with her, erm, whatever it was that had just almost happened. Poor Lewis, he must be really nervous about this match and his face had even turned beat red because of it. "
Good luck, Lewis," she said, mostly repeating what she said earlier, while waving to him as he left the stands.
Somewhere around 30 minutes later, the actual match began and things were pretty even. Vashti scored the first points of the game, but Hufflepuff came back scoring some of their own. Her heart raced a bit when Nessie caught the waffle, erm, quaffle and its paced quickened when Lewis received it from her and then passed it to Treyen. It really was a close match...and Kurumi couldn't even bring herself to nibble on one of the cookies with her.
Kurumi squeaked, noticeably, when she saw the bludger connect with Lewis and slip him over his broom. Merlin hadn't she just told him to not get hurt?! Or wait, had she only thought that but not said it out loud? Hands covering her mouth, she watched as he seemed to get back up on his broom alright and proceeded to play the game, her hands returning to her lap only when she saw that he was, in fact, alright.
And...wait...was that the....SNITCH?
It WAS the snitch and her breath caught in the prefect's throat as she saw both Seekers dive after the tiny golden object. Come on...come...
Fudgesicle.
Kurumi flopped back down in her seat and slouched slightly. Yeah, Ravenclaw had caught the snitch. Whoopie...
