Even though he knew the more he tried to want to be back with Kurumi, he only hurt his chances more with being back with her because he insisted on it. "I think the reason why we wanted to stay in the relationship is because.. we knew if we never got back with each other-not us-I mean our exes, that it would just be... over. And they meant so much to us for it to be simply over,right?" At least that's how he thought of it. For some weird reason he nodded at his own comment- he had never really gotten the chance to ever say that. Its mostly what he always thought about after his devastating break up.
"Our ex was our lifeline." Or for him she was. Violet could see in his face that Adam was once again feeling the same way she was. She could see in his face just by hearing her tell him that she hadn't seen or known about Chris either he was crushed. Violet bit her bottom lip once again as she looked at him for a couple of moments. She looked down at the floor for a few moments and then she looked back at Adam again. How could she comfort him...when he was feeling what she was feeling...and how could she do that when she couldn't comfort herself? Violet took a moment to follow where his eyes traveled, which what from Violet could see, were students smiling and laughing and enjoying each others company without a care in the world. How Violet envied them so.
Then she turned her attention back towards Adam hearing him speak again and she winced a little bit after hearing him. He was right. When he looked at her waiting for her response Violet looked into his eyes slowly nodding her head in agreement. She said slowly,"...You're right..." It hurt her so to say that, and you could see it in her violet eyes that every word or thought killed her emotionally. And practically ripped her heart in half. Then when he had told her that their exes were their lifeline that was when Violet closed her eyes for she could feel as if she were going to cry again. But she fought back her tears and then in a sort of shaky tone,"And did you ever notice...how they made your heart beat faster and slower at the same time...Like...they" she took a moment,"like they made your life seem sort...unreal...and you looked forward to seeing them every day...Because they made your day better..." At least that was how she saw Christopher in her eyes.
