Wasn't Treyen like a super distant relative of the famous Gilderoy who famously erased his own memory.

Oakey didn't focus much on the wand though, he thought about the Sorting Hat. Maybe the Hat and the Fake sword were a two for one deal. Harry Potter had pulled the Gryffindor sword from the Sorting hat when he defeated the Basilisk. So maybe the sword was hidden in the hat and the hat was hidden elsewhere, right?
