So trying to hide it was of no good… ‘Your spell didn’t work’, the third year said curtly, still glimpsing at the boxes. Anyway… she hadn’t decided yet if she should blame him for this disaster or not.
Play a game. Wasn’t that why she was there?! ‘Yes. Sure’, the third year said, making an effort to actually smile. ‘Which one do you want to play?’ Honestly. She knew nothing about muggle board games, so he had better pick one. ‘Shoots n Ladders?’, Gwenolyn mumbled as she came across that game. Psh. What kind of a name was that? Pam pam pam… what else was there? Monopoly… Twister… Scrabble…, they all sounded totally unfamiliar to her. Twister. That sounded like fun. Assuming they wouldn't have to conjure up an actual twister. No, they couldn't do that. Plus how would it be a board game then?! And no, this was a magic-free zone so- "Hmm?" His green eyes darted back up to her face when he heard what she'd just said. "The spell didn't...but why?" His face had fallen into a frown while his lips had formed a small pout, making him look a little like a lost puppy. It had definitely been the right spell!
YAY! She was going to play a game with him. "I...don't know?" Lewis shrugged, glancing down at all the board games. He wasn't used to being in charge. Not even when it came to picking out board games. "Twister...?" He finally muttered more to himself than to her, as if to give her the option of pretending not to have heard it in case she didn't like his suggestion. He ran his hand over the box for a moment, trying to make out what they were going to have to do. |
