Helena Bonham Carter, best known to fans as portraying Bellatrix Lestrange in the latter half of the Harry Potter series, received the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) medal by U.K.'s Queen Elizabeth II today at Buckingham Palace. The Oscar-nominated actress was given the honour due to her prestigious and eclectic body of film work, from Merchant Ivory period pieces in her youth to the Harry Potter series and various Tim Burton productions.
