When Gwen pointed her wand towards them, it dawned on Ari that the spell might hit her too. What if she turned into a cat?!? That wasn't very likely to happen, but nothing compares to the vivid imagination of a child. Mercifully, Gwen suggested she put the cat down. Ari let out a deep breath she didn't know she had been holding.
Her throat constricted when Gwen asked if she (or the cat, who could tell?) was ready. 'Go on then.' Ariadne said bravely, very unlike the way she actually felt. Fighting the urge to cover her eyes with her hands, Ari watched her friend.
*ehem-hem*, Gwendolyn cleared her throat and tried to avoid letting Ari see how her hands were shaking. And her voice would probably be trembling too. Truth be told she was a bit unsure about this.
It would be to late to back off.. soooo ‘Right. Here goes’, she said, more like she was trying to encourage herself. While pointing the wand at Jinx, Gwen cleared her throat once more and took a deep breath.
‘Multicorfors!!’, the young Ravenclaw said loud and clear. She only felt something like a soft wind in her hair. It was probably the effect of the spell which she cast nearby… maybe her friend felt it too.
*blink-blink* What? I don’t get it…, she thought as she looked at Jinx.
‘Nothing’ FAAAIL.
Oh well, maybe Lewis was wrong. The spell was wrong. It didn’t do anything… Hmph. As she kneeled to check if the tail of her cat didn’t even started looking blueish, she was able to spot a part of her own hair which was now….
BLUE!?! Touching the blue stripe of hair, Gwendolyn’s hands started shaking.
She immediately started running towards the mirror.
‘It’s blue! A-ari…. It’s blue!’, the girl squeaked.
