Lewis' waving started to get more frantic as he now added a lot of pointing into the girl's direction. Yes, YOU, I'm talking to youuuu!!! See, and that seemed to have worked. Or at least she was coming over now. Coming over and...she chose him?! What was he? A Pokémon? Blinking at her a couple of times, not sure if this was a good thing Lewis finally decided it was and even gave her a small smile. "Great." Yup.
In case she wanted to know his name, Lewis shifted his tag thing a little so she could read it even though he still didn't have a name for the cute little Pygmy Puff in front of him. He wasn't good at coming up with names.
Now which question should they discuss? Glancing up to the front where the Professor had written down the questions open for discussion, Lewis bit his lip absently while trying to decide which sounded the most interesting. Finally moving his gaze back to the girl next to him, he asked her rather bluntly, "How do you think one discovers a Pygmy Puff's gender?" This WAS a pretty important question after all. He glanced down at the Pygmy Puff before him and poked its nose softly.
If it bit him it was definitely female.
He was okay with this partner thing then? Ness gave him a small grin and then her face turned confused. What was he doing with he's tag. She raised a brow and then looked at he's tag that he seemed to have pushed a little closer to her. Whatever this boy was doing..she could now at least see he's name without having to ask. So Lewis it was right? She bit her lip and just to make sure he knew her name to she did the same.

All good..or maybe not, as Ness looked at Lewis' name tag again she noticed that there was a question mark by where the pygmy puffs name was supposed to be written. Her lips formed a pout as she wondered whether to question him about the name or not. She'd leave it...for now at least.
Now how to answer the question
"Well..um..my pygmy puff, Puffles here is a boy, but I don't really know how to tell the difference." She was lucky the shop owner knew how to tell between male and female..otherwise her pygmy puff could have been a female for all she knew.
"What I can tell you though, is that Puffles seems to be lazy at times, and then all of a sudden he has he's energetic, crazy moments. He's quite odd." Puffles was now in he's lazy phase, it was quite obvious, and it was a good thing he was sleeping too, because he tended to get offended easily and he bit people when that happened.
"He's also agressive at times too...sometimes I think he acts like a girl." Maybe Lewis had a better answer?
"What would you say?" she asked raising her brow seriously.
This gender thing was just too confusing.
