Eyes wide, Kurumi's first instinct was to duck and cover, but her wand hand acted on its own, making an arcing movement ending with a quick horizontal slash. Realizing what her body was doing, Kurumi's brain registered the rest. "Protego!" JUST in the nick of time, Kurumi's magical shield went up and blocked his spell. The rush of adrenaline had her ears pounding and she took several deep breaths before speaking.
"A l-l-little bit of a warning would have been nice," she laughed shyly.
Or...was that his way of challen"Expelliarmus!"ging her to a little duel right here and now? Hmmm...
"Expelliarmus!" she said, countering with her own.
Kennedy smiled sheepishly while he rubbed the back of his neck.
"I...thought you were ready," he chuckled. Maybe next time he should say; let's duel? Technically it wasn't a REAL duel, but he liked the challenge. It was almost like a duel the only difference was that they could only use two spells.
WOW!
He quickly did an upward arc flick with his wand and said,
"Protego!" She...she was fast as well.
Hehe! This is what he's talking about!
Suddenly more awake and alert, Kennedy backfired with the disarming spell.
"Expelliarmus!" Now, he just had to watch himself to not get too carried away and use a different spell than the ones they were allowed to use.
