Aspen still had her hand in his, so she used that to focus on while she thought exactly what she wanted to ask. She counted his fingers as if half expecting one to be missing.

"... are there lots?" Of past...dates? "And did you read a book to know how to do all the dating stuff?" Could she borrow it? "And... how does dating compare and contrast to ... girlfriends, to you exactly?"

He HAD said to ask away, so Aspen had spouted off the top three questions she had. She lifted her eyes to his, again eying through her fallen strand of hair. She was more worried that he'd be annoyed by her questioning than what his answers might be.
