He noticed the charm bracelet and how upset Ariana seemed to get about it. He decided to be nice and shoot a Reparo! at the charm as it fell into Ariana's pocket.
He almost didn't have time to react to the spell cast by Ariana, "Protego!" he yelled, his wand moving quickly. The shield charm managed to protect him, but the force from the Expelliarmus knocked him back slightly. "Nice one! Its your turn now!" he grinned, before sending a more careful "Expelliarmus!" back at Ariana.
Ariana was upset about her bracelet but didn't let it distract her from protecting herself she quickly shouted out
"protego" in what she thought was enough time but didnt do the spell right and was hit, her wand leaping from her hand and her being knocked back just a few feet this time.
"crap, why didnt that work!? she asked no one in particular
