Umm to get the red to pop... Duplicate the image, soft light it. Then I did 4 soft light layers of medium dark blue, green, plum and orange. Then selective colour. Two layers of. Second one concentrating on the reds.

I never do that many fill layers... they always turn out crap for me. Your new grabbies look good TOO.
