Van returned the cocked eyebrow look. And what, did Wes truly thing that he, Evander, didn't keep tabs on the relationships in his department? Really, it was important after all who knew when it'd interfere with day to day business, like today for instance with this ridiculousness.

"Oh I'll help alright." Van rumbled, a slow smile spreading over his face. "There's a few hard heads I need to crack I think, but I spoke with Iz and she's going to pull rank first. I'm to be in reserve, so to speak." And boy would they regret it if they got sent to him. Van wasn't about to mess around. He tapped the head of his cane absently.
