Adeline snapped out her little daydream rant in her head and knew that she had to answer what Alec has asked her because she knew that he would worry if she didn't respond back to him and she didn't want him to worry at all. Maybe she could come up with a little white lie. Yes that would be easy even though she's a terrible liar. "I've been doing good. I know you haven't. I was sick for a couple of days. I had a horrible cough." she lied at the last part. She wasn't sick at all she was just scared of what happens to her brain and her heart when she around Alec.

Alec furrowed his brows slightly. Adeline... didn't seem to be saying anything. Maybe she was thinking of an answer? But his question wasn't exactly hard. All he had asked was how she had been. Or did girls not like being asked that? Or maybe it was what he had said afterwards that made her slightly weird. He really shouldn't have mentioned that he hadn't seen her around. Now Adeline would probably think of him as some sort of stalker. And to think all he wanted to do was make more friends at Hogwarts.

Alec shook the thought out of his head. Adeline can think what she likes, he would just have to prove to her that he was only being friendly and not being... weird. Just as he was about to ask her if she was okay... she answered. "Adele, that sounds horrible!" It was a cough and nothing else so he shouldn't be getting worried. "Maybe you should go out more and see more of your friends." At this, he smiled at her. Of course, that meant she had to see him more but he wasn't going to tell her that.
