Atypical Ravenclaw Bookworm // Hair Flipper Pro / / the edgy starbuckian // Hot Messie It was December now and Lana was still out of sorts with everything. She thought it was just a bout of homesickness, but she finally made herself leave the tower again. She wasn't doing herself any favours by locking herself away, besides she needed to get work done.
Finding a nice spot not all that close to the Whomping Willow, she sat down. She had heard stories about the tree and she didn't want to end up on the wrong side of one of its branches. She couldn't afford to be in the hospital wing if she ever wanted to actually play in a match of quidditch.
Pulling her journal out, she look up at the sky. It wasn't completely dark out yet, but she could still point out a few faint stars here and there. The moon was at least visible in the early evening sky and she knew from there she could possible see what she thought was Orion. Looking to where she thought was the left foot of Orion, she squinted her eyes and tried to see it. There was a constellation there and she did remember seeing it one.
Pulling her journal into her lap, she continued to look out into the sky as the sky darkened a bit. She was slowly starting to recognise the stars and began to jot down just what she was seeing. Eridanus was starting to become more clear to her. It looked like just a long winding river in the sky, but she knew she was looking in the right spot and that made her happy for the moment. |
