While promoting the release of
The Woman in Black (which made an estimated $8.3 million on Friday in the U.S. and Canada), Daniel Radcliffe admitted that he would like to portray Harry Potter's father, James, if the book series were ever rebooted for the big screen. In the past Dan said he would consider portraying Sirius Black in the past, but with James the actor found that he would get to be back in the series but not have to work for the entire duration of the series. Dan also noted that
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban held the most meaning for him, given that it was the one where he decided he wanted to become an actor, and got to work with Gary Oldman for the first time.
Dan has mentioned in the past that he got to keep two sets of Harry's glasses as personal souvenirs, but keeps them locked away in a London vault, given how "precious" they are.
