Incarcerous .18
Sixth Year
Lily and Remus were in the library studying transfiguration when Lily asked him, “Remus, did you ever get one of them to try Incarcerous? I mean, it might not be strong enough but… well, you never know,” she said, looking up at him.
“No, we never tried that one,” he said, bending his head to look at the spell. “Maybe we should give it a try one day…” he considered, thinking about the Marauders and what they would say when he asked them to tie him down with ropes.
“Yeah and I could always ask Sev…” Lily began, but stopped. Tears had welled in her eyes and were starting to fall down her cheeks. She hastily wiped them away.
“What would Severus say?” Remus asked Lily, knowing she might like to talk about him.
“Well he… the last time I spoke with him he had been tweaking other spells and trying to make new ones. I was just going to say if the ropes somewhat worked, he could tweak it to have chains instead.”
“That would sound like a good idea, Lily, if not for the fact that Severus hates me and would not do anything to help me.”
