Did Gwen just...smile at him?! That was a good sign, right? Should he...smile back at her? Or ignore it? Or mention it? Or leave? While he considered his options, Lewis had involuntarily just settled with staring at her blankly which as he came to realize this had probably not been the best reaction to her smile. Err. Quickly averting his gaze to somewhere behind her, Lewis said the first thing that came to his mind related to the subject they were discussing. "I think Hufflepuff first years are the worst though." At least they seemed to annoy him the most, especially when their behavior lost them house points.

And gone was the smile again, being replaced by a rather cold look. What had he done now?! "Oh. I'm sorry." Okay, maybe apologizing again wasn't such a good idea either since it seemed that that had been the reason she was upset in the first place. "I mean, good." Whatever. He just wanted to stop talking about this. It confused him.

He wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying about the newspaper while he tilted his head a little to be able to read the headlines. Which proved to be quite difficult once Gwen started twirling it in her hands. Hmpf. It really WAS time he got his own. Once she explained that she didn't want to transfigure the newspaper into anything dangerous, Lewis nodded softly, his green eyes still on her face to make sure she wasn't lying to him. "Right. I guess that depends then. On what you want to transfigure it to." He finally answered her question vaguely.
Well, this is a bit weird, Gwendolyn told herself as she noticed he was still looking erm- puzzled at her. Why?! As soon as she heard his remark, the third year couldn’t help laughing. Not knowing what exactly she should reply to that, the girl simply shook her head and smirked. Perhaps it was quite annoying for him not to get any answer, but Gwen had no idea what she could say without being rude. ‘Are you sure you are all right?’, she said as nice as she could.

Noticing that Lewis kept staring, the third year thought there was something wrong. Ack- do I have something on my face? Is there something behind me?, she asked herself and turned her head. Why am I so paranoid all of a sudden?, Gwendolyn thought and decided it was for sure Lewis’ fault. Aaanyway- ‘I have to agree with you on that’, she nodded. The puffs were the worst indeed.

After he replied another ‘I’m sorry’, Gwendolyn raised her eyebrows. Was she really such a creepy person??? She knew she was able to make people hate her, but not confuse them. So all of a sudden, she was the odd person? ‘Blimey!’, Gwen couldn’t help mumbling.

Yeah, I guess that was kind of obvious, she told herself, looking back at the newspaper. ‘I don’t know what exactly I want…But the only thing I know how to do is a picture frame. And after I spent some time practicing that for the Transfiguration homework, I’m not sure I want to do it again’ Yeah, she was kind of sick of picture frames already. ‘Got any ideas?’, the Ravenclaw finally asked.

‘Erm… by the way- do you know what spell could be used to change the color of an object?’ Just don’t ask why… don’t ask why… don’t ask why, Gwen thought as she waited for his answer. She had been looking for that spell for a long time and still didn’t manage to find it.
