Two new photo shoots featuring Daniel Radcliffe as part of his promotion for
The Woman in Black are online now, including his cover shoot for Short List magazine, and a spread for Esquire UK.
Dan spoke to Short List about three of his all-time favourite movies, which actor's career he aspires to emulate (not Gary Oldman), and his favourite album. That interview can be viewed, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot, below.
Dan, after a long silence about this particular topic, opened up to Moviefone about the progress of the Dan Eldon biopic, of which he was attached for many years now. He noted nothing further than the fact that the script needed revision based on what was left out in terms of Eldon's personality, though not much more regarding when or if he would ever play the role in the future.
At one point you were attached to play photographer Dan Eldon. What happened?
Daniel Radcliffe: Yeah, yeah... I was attached to that for a while. We felt that the script changes were needed.
My ex-girlfriend went to high school with him, so it's a project that I've paid attention to.
Daniel: Oh, really? Yeah, it was a great script. And then I read a little more about his life and the script was fantastic, but it wasn't entirely -- reading about Dan, as well as being an inspirational and amazing person, he was also abrasive. And he annoyed a lot of people. He had a knack for [ticking] people off.
I've heard that.
Daniel: And that wasn't in the script. And I felt that it needed that. So, yeah, that was the reason for that.
