red as tomatoes. Ella tried to hide her smile when she heard his voice crack.
Good thing I'm looking down! She thought with a smile. Then she tapped her fingers nervously on her leg as she began to explain.
"I-well I uh-I write to my family about a lot of things..." She glanced at him sideways and then back at her feet.
"And I uh-I guess you're one of things I write to them about..." Especially mom because she gives good advice and dad doesn't like the whole me liking boys thing... "We do spend a lot of time together." She said, almost as a justification as to why she would write about him. She looked up at him, searching his face. Her mind was racing a mile a minute.
Does he think I'm weird because I'm writing home about him? I bet he thinks I'm some obsessed weirdo! Oh merlin, why do I always open my big mouth? Maybe he'll be flattered?
