Kurumi had her bag slung over her shoulder as she walked through the library looking for Kennedy. Why had she agreed to this in the first place? Turning the corner around one of the bookshelves, Kurumi saw the Slytherin was already there waiting for her. "H-Hey," she said, her voice cracking.
Kennedy sat up straight when he heard Kurumi make her presence known. He could tell by her voice that she was nervous. Truth be told, he was too and he had no idea why. Maybe because he was talking to a girl that wasn't Aurora...or maybe because he didn't know what to expect.
He smiled, hoping that would ease the tension...because he was feeling tension. What was he supposed to say? He didn't want to be rude.
"Have a seat," he said, signaling the chair across from him.
"I-I mean if you want to." Maybe she didn't want to sit next to him. Hmm, Escalante, did you think about that? Hmm.
