She showed the students how to do it, letting the hot liquid melt off all the honey from the spoon. "Take 5 basil leaves and slice them thin, as thin as you can, with your silver knife." And she did what she said to the letter. "Now what you want to do is take a papaya, whole and with the same silver knife, stab the fruit and stuff some of the basil in the wound. Keep stabbing until you make enough holes for all of the basil. Then add it to the mixure. Whole."
1 whole Papaya
Ella listened as the Professor showed them what to do next. She took notes, wanting to make sure she had everything written down correctly. Glancing at her spoon, she decided it was best to clean it as that was one of the Cs she was supposed to remember! She picked it up and pointing her wand at it carefully said, "Scourgify." She nodded, satisfied with the result and grabbed the raw honey. Leaning down a little so she could see the spoon better, she began to pour the honey. "Okay 1 spoonful...2...3 spoonfuls." She made sure all of the honey got into the cauldron and let whatever was left on the spoon be melted off just like the professor showed them. She then took the 5 basil leaves and began to slice them, hoping they were thin enough. Next, Ella picked up the silver knife and the papaya. She started stabbing it, thinking it must look pretty barbaric to any passerby's. Stabbing was definitely not something she enjoyed doing. After a few stabs, Ella began stuffing the basil into the wounds, making sure each had enough space to fit. She then added the whole papaya into the cauldron. When she had done that, she lined up her spoon, wooden stirrer, and knife and cleaned them all, not wanting to forget to do so.
