She was sure that she didn't remember the Professor ever saying anything like that before, so it made her feel good to be told that. Even if it was directed at the entire class.
Watching Lafay demonstrate the next steps, she quickly wrote down the instructions. This seemed pretty easy, and she saw that the potion should be done soon as there weren't too many more ingredients needing to be added. Though, of course she had no idea about the stewing time this potion needed.
Picking up her spoon again, she scooped three spoonfuls of Raw honey and placed them into the potion, letting the hot liquid melt off the sticky substance.
When she was done, she placed the spoon down again and grabbed her silver knife. She started slicing the five Basil leaves as thinly as possible, and when she was done she picked up the Papaya.
Stabbing it with the same knife, she started stuffing the hole with the Basil, making more holes as needed until all of the Basil was inside the Papaya.
Then she placed the whole fruit into the cauldron. Quote: Water 10 drops Valerian root 10 drops Salamander Blood 2 dock leaves 1 Ashwinder Egg 4 sprigs Fluxweed 10 drops Murtlap Essence 2 sprigs Parsley 3 spoons Raw honey 5 Basil leaves 1 whole Papaya
1 Ginger Root
17 Reishi (mushroom of immortality)
1. Add water to cauldron after cleaning it.
2. Add ten drops each of Valerian root and Salamander Blood, alternating between the two.
3. Crush the dock leaves with a (clean) mortar and pestle.
4. Break an Ashwinder Egg and add it to the mortar before quickly adding the four sprigs of Fluxweed. Add mixture to cauldron.
4. Add ten drops of Murltap Essence and stir eight times (counter-clockwise).
5. Loosely crush two sprigs of Parsley (in your hand) and add the flakes.
6. Add three spoonfuls of Raw honey, letting the hot potion melt the honey off of the spoon.
7. Slice the five Basil leaves as thinly as possible.
8. Stab the whole Papaya and stuff the wound with the Basil leaves, making more holes as needed until all the Basil is in the fruit. Add the whole Papaya to the cauldron. |
