Next steps... Pull your wooden spoon, and add 3 spoonfulls of raw honey..." She looked over to the Gryffindor prefect. "
It doesn't have to be perfectly measured... you just add it by eye." She showed the students how to do it, letting the hot liquid melt off all the honey from the spoon. "
Take 5 basil leaves and slice them thin, as thin as you can, with your silver knife." And she did what she said to the letter. "
Now what you want to do is take a papaya, whole and with the same silver knife, stab the fruit and stuff some of the basil in the wound. Keep stabbing until you make enough holes for all of the basil. Then add it to the mixure. Whole."
1 whole Papaya
Violet watched the professor again for the next steps. Then, she took her wooden spoon, cleaned with a scourgify spell again and scooped 3 spoonful of raw honey and added it to the cauldron, making all the honey had been melted off the spoon. It looked so good to taste, but Violet controlled herself. You can never be sure about eating things in Potions class. Next, Violet carefully took her silver knife from the table. She was so nervous about stabbing someone by accident, scourgified it again, and began sliding the 5 basil leaves. How thin was thin? Violet kept slicing the leaves until they turned to shreds, but not to pulp. That would definitely get her into trouble.
Viole then took her papaya and grunted as hard as she can to get her silver knife through. It just wouldn't budge, until..plunk! Her knife went straight through! The aroma of the fruit filled her nose with a sweet smell and Violet had a panic attack again, but she quickly stuffed the sliced basil leaves into the several holes she made and plopped the whole papaya into the mixture.
Violet scourgified her silver knife once more until it was sparkling clean.
