"Next steps... Pull your wooden spoon, and add 3 spoonfulls of raw honey..." She looked over to the Gryffindor prefect. "It doesn't have to be perfectly measured... you just add it by eye." She showed the students how to do it, letting the hot liquid melt off all the honey from the spoon. "Take 5 basil leaves and slice them thin, as thin as you can, with your silver knife." And she did what she said to the letter. "Now what you want to do is take a papaya, whole and with the same silver knife, stab the fruit and stuff some of the basil in the wound. Keep stabbing until you make enough holes for all of the basil. Then add it to the mixure. Whole."
1 whole Papaya
Kurumi wasn't sure whether to be more afraid of Professor Lafay's surprisingly goo mood or happy about it as it made the classroom seem to be more pleasant. It was more like she was a ticking time bomb though...SOMETHING was going to set her off and the prefect crossed fingers and held her breath that it wasn't going to be her.
And yes, Kurumi caught the look from the Potions Mistress in her direction.
After added the three spoonfuls of honey
and resisting the urge to lick her spoon after Kurumi began the tedious process of thinly slicing her basil. When that was sliced, Kurumi retrieved a papaya and held her knife firmly in her hand. She had to...stab it? That seemed to barbaric! Wait a moment, Kurumi had forgotten WHOSE lesson she was in at the moment.
Deciding to sort of stab!slice, Kurumi made enough incisions to the papaya to stuff them with basil before dropping it into her cauldron.
