"Next steps... Pull your wooden spoon, and add 3 spoonfulls of raw honey..." She looked over to the Gryffindor prefect. "It doesn't have to be perfectly measured... you just add it by eye." She showed the students how to do it, letting the hot liquid melt off all the honey from the spoon. "Take 5 basil leaves and slice them thin, as thin as you can, with your silver knife." And she did what she said to the letter. "Now what you want to do is take a papaya, whole and with the same silver knife, stab the fruit and stuff some of the basil in the wound. Keep stabbing until you make enough holes for all of the basil. Then add it to the mixure. Whole."
1 whole Papaya
Alyssa listened and watched as the Professor demonstrated the next steps to making the potion. She quickly wrote down the instructions and scratched off the ingredients she would need from her Potions Ingredients list.
She then quickly wrote down the next steps, adding it into her Potions journal.
Putting down her quill, she returned to the ingredients cupboard, and retrieved the ingredients she needed, before returning to her workstation. Alyssa then took out her wand and pointed it at both her wooden spoon and silver knife and cleaned it by using the Scourgify spell. Then picking up the bottle of raw honey, she poured three spoonfuls worth of honey into her wooden spoon and placed it over her cauldron letting the heat from the mixture in the cauldron, slowly melt the raw honey into it.
Next she cleared her workdesk to make an empty place where she could slice the basil leaves. Before she picked up her knife to do it, she took out her wand, pointed it at the cleared area and said "
Scourgify" to clean it. Once her workarea was clean, Alyssa picked up her silver knife and taking the first Basil leaf, she cut into it, slowly slicing it into the thinnest slices possible. She repeated the same steps for the other four leaves. Once she was done slicing up the leaves, Alyssa used her knife to scrape all the slices of Basil leaves into a pile and then picked up the whole Papaya.
Picking up her silver knife with one hand and holding the Papaya in her other, Alyssa proceeded to stab the Papaya repeatedly over and over again, creating holes in it. Alyssa then put down her knife and picking up the slices of the basil leaves, she started stuffing the holes in the Papaya with them. When she ran out of holes, Alyssa picked up her knife again and stabbed more holes. Then she continued to stuff the holes with her sliced Basil leaves, until all the leaves were stuffed into the holes she had created. She then picked up the stuffed Papaya and added it into the mixture.
She looked as the Papaya slowly sank into the mixture, before sitting back and waited for further instructions.
