She'd dropped in as much as she needed stoppering the bottle and cleaning her hand she picked up her wand and pointed it had the stirrer. "Scurgify" she cleaned it off and knew it was now safe to use.
One Stir, Two Stirs, Three stirs, Four Stirs - all counter clockwise. Now she was going to keep it up since she was halfway there.
Five Stirs, Six Stirs, Seven Stirs, Eight Stirs - yes! She'd done it taking out her wooden stirrer she cleaned it before placing it into her ingredients kit. While in the kit she cleaned her hands and picked up the two sprigs of parsley - with them in hand she gently began to grind them together in her hand adding the loose bits of parsley in as it fell from her hand. Nodding as Lafay gave further instructions he carefully added the TEN drops of murtlap essence. Grabbing his wooden stirrer he commenced to stirring EIGHT times counter clockwise. Smiling once more to himself he snatched up the two parsley leaves and did as instructed... he crushed them loosely in his hands, letting the flakes fall into his cauldron along with the other ingredients. So the next ingredients that they'll be using are the Murtlap Essence, wooden stirrer and two sprigs Parsley. Jonathan readied them onto the sides and took his wand again and the wooden stirrer on his free hand. Pointing at it "Scourgify" he cleaned the wooden stirrer before he will use it.
Okay... so 10 drops of Murtlap Essence. He placed the dropper on top of the cauldron and began counting the drops this time. 1...2...3...4...5..6...7..8...9...10. He placed the dropper onto the empty side of the table, so that he'll know, he has used it. Next, is to stir. It was 8 times and in a counter-clockwise movement. Jonathan took his clean wooden stick and placed it inside his cauldron. In a counter-clockwise motion he began counting again. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8!
Jonathan smiled. He really does enjoy Potions a lot. Ohhhh! Parsley. He almost forgot about that one. He took two of the sprigs parsley and crushed them above his cauldron, like what the professor had demonstrated. Quote:

Vickers nodded silently, then reached out to retrieve the Murtlap Essence. He set the container down momentarily and took a few seconds to scourgify the wooden stirrer. With one hand he took the dropper from the Murtlap Essence, counting the drops that fell into the cauldron until he reached ten. Setting the dropper aside, he promptly began mixing the solution with the wooden stirrer, counting silently to eight as he moved it around the cauldron counter-clockwise.
When that was completed, he took two Parsley sprigs and pulled the leaves out from the main stem, crushing them further between his fingers as he sprinkled them over the mixture. Quote:

Putting down her quill she made her way back to the Ingredient Supply cupboard and taking out another vial and dropper from her jacket and pumped out 10 drops of Murtlap Essence into her vial before covering it with a cork. She also removed two sprigs of Parsley from the cupboard before making her way back to her workstation.
Placing the vial and sprigs on her workstation, Alyssa took out her wand and pointing it at her wooden stirrer said," Scourgify" to clean it. Once her wooden stirrer was clean, Alyssa picked up the vial, removed the cork and added the 10 drops of Murtlap Essence into the cauldron. She then picked up her wooden stirrer and started stirring the mixture making sure that she was stirring counter clockwise. She counted off as she stirred. " One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight". She immediately stopped stirring and placed her stirrer back on the table.
Alyssa reviewed her journal one more time before picking up the two sprigs of Parsley. Using both hands, she placed them over her cauldron. Gently rubbing the sprigs of parsley between her fingertips, she loosely crushed the parsley letting the flakes fall into the cauldron. She looked into her cauldron as they fell and once all the Parsley was crushed, Alyssa waited for further instructions. Quote:

Taking the dropper, she cast a quick Cleaning Spell on it before sucking in the Murtlap Essence. Holding it gingerly above the cauldron, she carefully squeezed out the mixture.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Oops, not enough in the dropper. Taking more, she continued the process. Eight. Nine. Ten. Done. Squeezing the remaining essence back into the bottle, she re-corked it and moved on to the next step.
Picking up two sprigs of Parsley, she crushed them between her palms as she'd seen Lafay doing. Moving her hands back and forth, she allowed the flakes to fall into the slightly moving liquid. Once she was done, she dusted her hands off and continue with her notes. Quote:

- Add the dock leaves to mortar and crush
- Break frozen ashwinder egg into mortar, then add 4 sprigs fluxweed
- Add mixture from mortar into cauldron
- Add ten drops of murtlap essence, stirring eight times counterclockwise once added
- Loosely crush 2 sprigs parsley in hands over cauldron, letting the resulting flakes drop into the potion

Next she took hold of the Parsley, two sprigs as instructed, laid them in her hands and started crushing them loosely by rubbing her hands against each other and allowing the Parsley to fall into the mixture. Quote:

Silvia set the wooden stirrer down and reached for the parsley. Maybe it's just like how one needs to perform proper wand movements in order to perform a spell. She crushed the parsley in her hand. Number and direction of stirs must be the potions version of wand movements, she thought, as she let the flakes fall from her hand and into the cauldron. Quote:

Then lastly, he took the two sprigs of parsley as directed and crunched them in his hand, watching as the little flakes landed in the cauldren. Quote:

She stopped to think what was counter-clock before stirring. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven aaand... eight! Sophie smiled as she got the two springs Parsley and held it above her cauldron. She started crushing them loosely, as Professor Lafay had demonstrated and watched as the flakes fell into the cauldron.
Wait... should she have used the Cleaning Spell on her hands too? She looked around quickly and didn't see any of her classmates doing it, so she was fine. Hopefully... Quote:

Taking these things back to his work station he set them down carefully next to his cleaned mortar. taking this dock leaves he placed them into the mortar as Lafay had instructed and crushed them with the pestal. Oakey then picked up the Ashwinder egg cracked it then added the contents into the mortar was well. grabbing the four sprigs fluxweed he placed them into the mortar was well. Picking up the mixture he poured it into his cauldron.
As Oakey was pouring his mixture into the cauldron Lafay had quickly moved onto the next step. He fumbled a bit placing the mortar back onto his work place. and listened intently to her next instructions. He looked around for the Murtlap Essence finally found it at his. Picking it up he dropped the 10 drops into the cauldron with all the rest of the concoction. Lifting his stirrer and started stirring in the counter-clockwise as Lafay had demonstrated. Right now to get the two pieces of sprigs Parsley. crushing them carefully between the palms of his hands and letting pieces of them fall into the cauldron. Quote:

9 Drops of Murtlap Essence; 10 Drops of Murtlap Essence.
She took her wooden stirrer and placed it into the potion. She moved it eight times counter-clockwise. Just like she was instructed. Taking the two sprigs Parsley, she crushed them in her hands over the cauldron, letting the flakes fall in as she crushed. Quote:

He paused, picturing his cauldron as a clock, and figured it out a second later. He always had to do that to stop himself from going the wrong way. He grabbed his wooden stirrer and started to go counter clockwise until he'd stirred 8 times. Now crush two springs of parsley, that was easy enough...
He grabbed the parsley and held it above his hand, crushing it with his hands and watching the tiny flakes fall into the cauldron as he moved his palms together. Quote:

He reached for his murtlap essence and knocked the bottle off the counter. "Woah!" His Quidditch reflexes were handy as he made a grab and secured the falling object. He breathed a sigh of relief. Easy does it now, Keef.
Essence secured, he unstoppered the bottle and began to count the drips. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. He checked his scribbles. Five more. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Good.
Next, he picked up his wooden stirrer, but more cautiously this time. Dipping it into the potion, he began to stir up and to the right in a counter-clockwise motion. "One stir, two stirs, three stirs, four stirs, five stirs, six stirs, seven stirs, eight stirs," he whispered under his breath. Success secured, he crossed off that step in his notes. Next up, parsley.
He looked through his supplies and found a box. He opened it up and was confused until he looked at the label. "Parsnip." Definitely not. He pointed his wand into his things and thought, Accio Parsley. He heard shuffling as the parsley unlodged itself from under several jars and made its way to his waiting hands. After checking the label, he found two midsized leaves and brought them over his cauldron. Keefer began to crush them and watched as the small wafts of air in the dungeon carried the flakes down onto the surface of the mixture. Quote:

Angelina did what Professor Lafay said and started adding 10 drops of Murtlap Essence. "1 drop, 2 drops, 3 drops, 4 drops, 5 drops, 6 drops, 7 drops, 8 drops, 9 drop and 10 drops," Angelina said quietly to keep track of all the drops.
Picking up her wooden stirrer and placed it in her cauldron and stirred it counter-clockwise eight times. Also as Lafay said, Angelina took two springs Parsley and crushed them in her hand above her cauldron. Once she was done she waited for the next step to be givin. Quote:

After he was done with that, Kennedy stood up and went to the refrigerated section to get an Ashwinder egg. Cool. He's never touched one before. He walked back to his working area, causiosly. When he was back at his table he broke the egg and added into the mortar, adding four sprigs of Fluxweed. When he was done, he looked up, his mind completely into the lesson and away from the news he had received that day.

Kennedy looked up, giving Professor Lafay his full attention. He added the ten Murlap Essence as instructed and then stirred eight times, counter-clockwise. After he was done with that he took the Parsley and crushed them in his hands above the cauldron.
This action reminded him of his mother when she cooked with Oregano. She would always crush the tiny leaves in her hands. Memories. Quote:

After she had finished it, she took two sprigs parsley and crushed them loosely in her hands, then added it to her cauldron.
" Well, you all seem to be following directions well." Good... she was impressed. Or maybe her good mood was clouding her judgement... maybe...
" Next steps... Pull your wooden spoon, and add 3 spoonfulls of raw honey..." She looked over to the Gryffindor prefect. " It doesn't have to be perfectly measured... you just add it by eye." She showed the students how to do it, letting the hot liquid melt off all the honey from the spoon. " Take 5 basil leaves and slice them thin, as thin as you can, with your silver knife." And she did what she said to the letter. " Now what you want to do is take a papaya, whole and with the same silver knife, stab the fruit and stuff some of the basil in the wound. Keep stabbing until you make enough holes for all of the basil. Then add it to the mixure. Whole."
