Ella was staring at the Professor with wide eyes, feeling a bit lost but also fascinated by the story. She wasn't sure she fully understood all of it but the parts she had understood were pretty cool...except for the whole pledging an eye to a giant thing. She wasn't into that. She raised her hand when the professor asked for questions. "Professor, so you're saying that the runes can help to explain or guide us in the right direction when we're having problems with our-uh-spiritual path?" She wasn't sure if that was right but that's what she had got out of his story. She continued, "Since they do tend to be quite-broad, do people use them often now a days to help them determine their path?"
