Ella looked up from her cauldron when she heard the Professor speak. She looked down at her parchment, adding the steps to her list before putting them into action. She picked up the Murtlap Essence and carefully dropped ten drops into the cauldron, counting each one to make sure. She then picked up her wooden stirrer and began to stir counter-clockwise. After eight stirs, she put the wooden stirrer down and consulted her notes. "Okay, next comes the Parsley." Ella took the two sprigs and held them above the cauldron, crushing them like the professor had in the demonstration. She watched as the little flakes fell into the mixture and waited for something to happen. Weren't potions supposed to-well, do something? She wasn't sure. She looked up when she was done, waiting for further instructions.
