As for Isobel..... Wes felt his heart skip a beat as he halted in place, leaning against a display of fluxweed without realizing it. "What about her? She made her feelings clear: The job means more to her than I do." So. What was he supposed to do about that? Keep chasing something that wasn't his? None of it made sense to him right now.
